Esports.gg is here to tell you everything you need about the upcoming Riot Games appearance at Evo 2023.

Project L will have a playable demo at Evo 2023

Business is picking up with Riot Games Project L moving closer to a release date. Riot released a couple of exciting tweets recently, with the game getting a duo-play mode. The second piece of news, a Project L demo, will be available at Evo 2023.

Project L's demo will feature three champions from the six that are already confirmed in Darius, Ekko, and Ahri. For more on the confirmed champions check out our article here.

Riot Games also confirmed that a new champion will be revealed at the Evo 2023 event. Interestingly, if you look at the Project L website, it suggests that there could be up to 14 champions available when the game eventually releases. This was pointed out by the FGC news Twitter account Fighting-Games Daily.

What is Project L's release date?

At the time of writing this article, Riot Games has not hinted in the slightest about a release date for Project L. Riot does not rush their games out of the door. VALORANT was given extra love with a private and public beta ahead of launch. However, given that there is a playable demo at Evo 2023, the fighting game will be coming sooner rather than later. For fans looking to get their hands on Project L, the game will be playable from August 4-5 at Evo.
