Hearthstone has released some hilarious text to commemorate April Fools' Day 2024. Of course, the updates don't apply to the game itself, but they do give players a chuckle. Read on for the Hearthstone April Fools' Day patch notes and details!

Hearthstone April Fools' Day patch notes 2024

According to Hearthstone patch 29.N0, the Shadowstep spell belonging to the Rogue class is no longer in Core. The Step spell is its replacement. As for more featured cards in the patch, they include Psychic Scream, Mindrender Illucia, Worgen Greaser, and Boulderfist Ogre thanks to the work of Jeff the intern.

Meanwhile, the toys featured in the Whizbang’s Workshop expansion can totally move around when no one's looking. Priest players can also go over their maximum health total through healing. Other funny April Fools' Day patch notes include players selecting whether or not they wish to go first or second, petting a dog, and even Anduin as the default Hearthstone Battlegrounds bartender.

"In celebration of 10 years of Hearthstone, upon login all players will be shown a replay of all the Hearthstone games they’ve ever played—cementing Hearthstone’s place for another 10 years to come," the patch notes added.

Hearthstone Battlegrounds Octuples and more

Another hilarious bit from the April Fools' Day patch is the fake announcement of Hearthstone Battlegrounds Octuples. According to the notes, this game mode lets you team up with seven other players to simply hang out in Bob's Tavern. This makes everyone a winner, which might also be a nod to the secret Crazy Eights puzzle that requires eight players achieving a tie together.
