Invisible Woman joins Marvel Rivals to provide heals, shields, and force fields!

Sue Storm, also known as Invisible Woman, is another Fantastic Four member arriving in Marvel Rivals Season 1. Her name tells you almost everything you should know about this character – she can turn invisible. However, that's not all that Sue Storms brings to the table. NetEase Games has released a gameplay trailer for Invisible Woman, and here is what we gathered from the footage.

When can I play as Invisible Woman in Marvel Rivals?

Like Mister Fantastic, The Thing, and Human Torch, Invisible Woman will be playable when Marvel Rivals Season 1 launches on Jan. 10 at 1 a.m. PT. Once the update goes live, all four characters will be available for all players to enjoy.

What role will Sue Storm fulfill?

Unlike her husband, Invisible Woman is a Strategist, also called a Support character, joining others like Luna Snow, Mantis, and Rocket Raccoon. That means she can heal teammates while also damaging the enemy team. Her list of options dips into her deep bag of powers, which include a forcefield and more.

What abilities does Invisible Woman have in Marvel Rivals?

Sue Storm's primary attack allows 10 uses before she needs to reload. This attack simultaneously damages opponents while healing teammates, making it a versatile option. It also hits twice once she uses it, meaning it can inflict double the damage on just one use.

As seen in the picture above, her secondary fire allows Invisible Woman to shield her teammates. Upon right-clicking, a stationary shield will deploy in front of the selected teammate and protect them from projectile attacks until it receives 300 damage.

From a mobility perspective, Invisible Woman has a double jump that launches her backward or forward with a six-second cooldown. Another ability is a forcefield with a 12-second cooldown, which she can throw and ignite at any time. In the trailer, it deploys when it hits the ground around Thor and proceeds to deal damage over time.

Of course, since her name is Invisible Woman, she can turn invisible in Marvel Rivals. However, it appears this could be a passive ability since there are no visible indicators in the gameplay HUD. She sneaks up on Captain America in the trailer and launches him off the map to his death. This ability is a tunnel of energy as she can choose to push the opponent forward or pull them toward her.

What is Invisible Woman's ultimate in Marvel Rivals?

Sue Storm stays true to her superhero name with her ultimate, allowing her to make all her teammates invisible in a given area for eight seconds. Once activated, all players within the desired area will become invisible. However, opponents can see the area and deal damage through the invisibility field. Once exiting the area, Invisible Woman's teammates will no longer be invisible.

Seeing how Invisible Woman stacks up against the other Strategists will be interesting. There are enough tools to make her compelling, especially with her invisibility and primary fire.
