Here is a list of all teams that qualified in the M7 World Championship Knockout Stage along with some storylines you can follow.

The qualified teams for the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) M7 World Championship Knockout Stage are locked in. Matches will start on Jan. 18, leading to the finale on Jan. 25. The stakes are high for this year as there is no defending champion competing this time around.

That said, here is a list of all qualified teams in the M7 World Championship Knockout Stage and some interesting storylines to follow.

M7 World Championship Knockout Stage qualified teams

After a week’s worth of matches, the M7 World Championship Swiss Stage is down to only eight remaining teams competing in the Knockouts. Here is a list of all the surviving teams:

  • Alter Ego (AE)
  • ONIC ID (ONIC)
  • Team Liquid PH (TLPH)
  • Selangor Red Giants (SRG)
  • Team Spirit (TS)
  • Aurora Gaming (RORA)
  • Yangon Galacticos (YG)

Alter Ego

It’s been a long time since we’ve seen Alter Ego step onto the world stage. Their last appearance was back in M2, where they finished in 4th place. This Knockout Stage is a huge opportunity for the team to show their hunger to win the crown. AE did not drop a single series in the Swiss Stage. It will be interesting to see if they can keep their hot streak going in the next stage of the M7 World Championship.

ONIC ID

The renowened Sky Kings, ONIC ID entered M7 as one of the tournament’s fan favorites, but their Swiss Stage run exposed unexpected weaknesses. Losses to teams like Yangon Galacticos and Team Spirit raised serious concerns about their form. The squad ultimately secured a Knockout Stage spot with a crucial win over Team Falcons. However, their struggles in the earlier rounds are hard to ignore. Still, the Knockout Stage presents a fresh slate, and it remains to be seen whether ONIC can rediscover its championship form when it matters most.

Team Liquid PH

The team to watch in the M7 Knockout Stage is Team Liquid PH. They are determined to complete their Golden Road, stopping at nothing in pursuit of the achievement. Aside from a single setback against Malaysia’s Selangor Red Giants, the squad largely dominated their matches. Rather than holding them back, that loss seemed to upgrade their arsenal. Team Liquid PH bounced back in sharper form, sweeping Yangon Galacticos with authority. Now, the question is whether they can truly defy gravity and see just how far this yellow brick road will take them.

Selangor Red Giants

The most dangerous team in this M7 World Championship Knockout Stage is arguably Selangor Red Giants. They are the team that introduced a Sora Gold Lane team composition, which shook up the meta in the tournament. They are also the only team that made the PH powerhouse TLPH bleed in the Swiss Stage. SRG is already a four-time MPL Malaysia champion and an MSC 2024 title holder. Will they add a world champion trophy to their cabinet this year? We’ll just have to find out.

Team Spirit

Just like most of the teams in the Knockout Stage, this isn’t Team Spirit's first rodeo. They finished 4th in the M6 World Championship after losing 0-3 against SRG. This is another chance for the team to prove that they can go the distance, perhaps be crowned the world champions. But before that happens, they will have to face the best of the best MLBB esports has to offer.

Aurora Gaming

This marks Aurora Gaming PH’s first appearance at the M7 World Championship, but the roster itself is far from inexperienced. Each member brings a wealth of international tournament experience. Still, the team has often been criticized for its inconsistency. They have the tendency to falter when the stakes are highest. Despite these concerns, RORA managed to secure a spot in the Knockout Stage. Whether they can overcome these lingering issues may ultimately determine how far their world championship run goes.

Aurora Gaming Turkey

Outside of the PH division, Aurora Gaming’s Turkish roster also secured a spot in the Knockout Stage of the M7 World Championship. The lineup features former members of Fire Flux Esports and S2G Esports, two of the strongest MLBB teams in the region. Aurora has dominated the local scene but has yet to translate that success into an international title. Their Swiss Stage run was solid, with their only loss coming against Alter Ego in Round 1. Now, the spotlight is on whether they can maintain this momentum and finally make a deep international run in the Knockout Stage.

Yangon Galacticos

The Myanmar representative, Yangon Galacticos, is one of the most interesting teams in the M7 World Championship. Much like SRG, they showcased unconventional picks throughout the Swiss Stage. Surprisingly, many of these strategies worked. Their creativity has added an extra layer of unpredictability to their playstyle. Now, the question is what other tricks they have up their sleeve, and whether these surprises will be enough to carry them through the M7 Knockout Stage.
