MLBB x SpongeBob event calendar revealed: Free Cyclops skin and new minigames

The Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) x The SpongeBob Movie: Search for Squarepants collaboration event, also titled Friend Fest, is officially announced, featuring free skins and new minigames. The festivity kicks off on Nov. 28, when players can participate in events themed around Nickelodeon’s hit cartoon franchise. This collaboration lasts for more than a month and will feature multiple events and rewards. 

The highlight of the MLBB x The SpongeBob collaboration event is how players can eventually unlock Cyclops “SpongeBob” skin for free. They simply have to participate in various events and earn enough points to claim this skin. Aside from the overly enthusiastic sponge, Gloo “Patrick Star” will also be available via a draw event.

To help you keep up with what’s to come, here is a quick rundown of all the events coming for the MLBB x SpongeBob collaboration. 

Manage your own fast food chain with the Undersea Restaurant. Complete tasks to claim tickets or Food Coins that you can use to play the minigame. Saving up tickets allows you to expand your menu and unlock restaurant upgrades. Playing this minigame rewards you with exclusive titles and Friendship Coins. 

Once you have enough Friendship Coins, exchange them for various rewards in the Event Shop. This includes the free Cyclops “SpongeBob” skin. Other rewards include stickers and a skin chest that contains an Epic skin.

The trailer did not explain what this event is all about. However, it looks like a social event where you interact with other players, send them likes, or follow them. It also includes profile customization options themed around the collaboration. Completing tasks in this event rewards you with an exclusive profile border. 

Throughout the MLBB x SpongeBob event, players can acquire two skin chests for free. The first one is a Random Elite Skin chest. You complete tasks from Nov. 28 to Dec. 31 to claim this reward.

The second chest is the Random Special Skin chest. This chest will be available from Dec. 5 to Dec. 21. Just like the first one, you need to complete tasks to get this chest for free.

Badang “Steel Arms” debuts during the collaboration event through the Shining Album event. It is not confirmed if you can get this skin for free. We’ll just have to keep our eyes peeled for more information in the future.

Aside from the skins you can get, there are also extra cosmetics and draw tokens up for grabs. This includes an Exclusive Quick Chat, battle emote, and Chat Bubble. Aside from that, you can also claim up to 9 Shell Tokens, which you can use for the event-exclusive draw event.

Another minigame you can participate in is the Fireworks Celebration. Customize your own fireworks show and send it to your friends. Participating in this event will reward you with even more exclusive collaboration items like an avatar border and a battle emote.
