This Roamer rework preview in the MLBB Advanced Server rewards players for actually doing their job as supports.

The new Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) Advanced Server rework update adds a ton of new changes for the Roamer position. The update makes farming gold easier for players who prefer to play this role. On top of that, you are now incentivized to scout the map and reveal heroes who are invisible, out of sight, or hiding in a bush. This means, roamers are now being rewarded more for their efforts instead of simply existing, even if they are not doing anything.

With that said, let’s dive deeper into the new mechanics for the Roamer role in the MLBB Advanced Server.

Reworked Unique Passive - Devotion

For this passive, heroes with the Roamer boots now gain 30% Gold and Experience independently. This means you can get resources just by being near allies who are farming minions or jungle creeps. Don’t worry about stealing resources from your allies, as they still get the full income from their last hits and kills.

Another effect of the Devotion passive is that Roamers can gain Gold and EXP by revealing hidden enemies. Examples include heroes hiding in the bush, invisible, or under camouflage. But, you can only gain a total of 2,000 Gold through this effect. It’s not much, but if you can do your job properly in the early game, you can get your core items early as a support.

Reworked Unique Passive - Thriving

Another Roamer rework passive that’s improved in MLBB advanced server is Thriving. For this one, you no longer receive EXP and Gold from assisting in kills. This is only active for the first 8 minutes of the game. Instead, you gain Gold and EXP passively.

However, the key mechanic of roamers still applies. You need to have the lowest Gold earned in your team. Otherwise, this effect will stop working until your allies surpass your accumulated Gold. This is still bad news if one of your non-support allies decides they are doing a big brain move of also wearing a roaming boots, thinking they can gain more from it.

Roamer Blessings Now Require More Gold To Unlock

Currently, you need to earn 600 Gold through our roamer passives to unlock the special Blessing from your boots. With the new update in the MLBB Advanced Server, the Roamer Blessing passive now requires 1,000 Gold to unlock. Considering you have more ways to earn Gold and EXP as a roamer with the rework, this should not be a problem.

Additionally, the Blessing effects no longer scale in value. This means every effect now has a flat value, so once you unlock it, you no longer have to grind to max out the buffs. Here is a quick rundown of each buff:

  • Conceal: Movement Speed Boost from 24%-60% to a fixed 40%
  • Favor: Bonus HP Regen from 240-600 to a fixed 400
  • Dire Hit: Damage Based on Target’s HP from 7%-18% to a fixed 12%
  • Encourage: Hybrid Attack Boost from 12-30 to a fixed 20 and Attack Speed Boost from 15% to a fixed 10%

The values are actually lower than the scaling version. You will be able to take advantage of their effect very early in the game with the rework. It’s a tradeoff that forces you to be more proactive in the early game than wait for the later stages of the game, where your Blessings are at max effect.

When is the Roamer Rework Update arriving on the MLBB official server?

Mounton Games has yet to officially announce when this Roamer rework will arrive on the MLBB official server. Perhaps we will be seeing it on the Grock Revamp update or after when Ranked Season 38 starts. For now, we’ll just have to keep our eyes peeled for more updates in the future.
