CoD Mobile marks India’s Independence Day with a music video and big giveaways

Over 750,000 CoD Points are up for grabs throughout the month.

CoD Mobile is marking India’s Independence Day with a lot of celebrations. These include an original music soundtrack, a flash mob, and community events.

The Independence Day Celebrations will mark the second localized content for Indian CoD Mobile players. The first came in the form of the Holi celebrations last March when Activision released Bollywood-themed remixes of two of CoD Mobile’s theme songs.

New music video and flash mob

Activision has teamed up with professional DJ MadPlug to create an original rap music video titled "Run!" Local rapper Nasty Ninja has written the lyrics for the rap while Mutation Esports has produced the video.

Additionally, Activision has also partnered with the local dance group Hip Hop City Kolkata. The group will be performing a dance routine with the rap song at an undisclosed “popular” venue in Kolkata, India. The flash mob will mark a one-of-a-kind promotion for the game in the country.

CoD Mobile India Carnival to give out huge CP rewards to players

Besides the rap video, Activision is also working with Mutation Esports to organize the CoD Mobile India Carnival throughout August. As a part of this, Mutation Esports is hosting several exciting giveaways, contests, and esports competitions to keep players hooked until Aug. 30.

Activision is giving out more than 750,000 CoD Points through the CoD Mobile India Carnival. Players can stay tuned to Mutation Esports' Instagram and Facebook handles for more information.

CoD Mobile World Championship 2022 India Playoffs have wrapped up

In the 2022 edition of the CoD Mobile World Championship, India has been included as a separate region. The India playoffs were held on Aug. 13 and 14 with the top two teams advancing to the World Championship Finals, which will happen as a LAN event in December.

Eight teams competed in the event for the two spots to the World Finals and a share of the $75,000 prize pool. Ultimately, GodLike Esports beat Team Vitality 3-0 in the grand finals to continue its reign as the undisputed champions from the India region.

Team Vitality were able to take home the MVP prize, though, as Samruddha "SAMs" Ghadge was given the reward.
