Marvel SNAP developers on bounties

The Second Dinner team first shared more information about its Bounty Boost Week event. This event featured bonus points for Move-related bounties and achieving victory with Move cards. It also had double the points for winning with characters such as Agatha, Scarlet Witch, and Vision.

"We had already planned special events around major moments in the Marvel universe as a way to celebrate different play styles in SNAP," the team stated. "The Amazing Spider-Season, for example, highlighted the Move archetype, while Marvel Television's Agatha All Along made its debut — two exciting milestones worth celebrating. We’ve seen a desire for a similar type of celebration from the community so we were very happy to serve that interest with the bounty boards."

In terms of designing alliance bounties, the Marvel SNAP team stated that they like to look for exciting moments in the game and turn them into celebratory experiences. Their goal is to encourage players to explore different playstyles while making them feel rewarded for achieving key milestones. A couple of milestone examples include destroying multiple cards and securing high-power locations.

In the current season, the broader cast of Symbiotes is in celebration of the Venom: The Last Dance movie. Meanwhile, the new High Voltage game mode lets players encounter more bounties and earn double the points for winning with specific cards in their deck.

Second Dinner on community feedback and more

"We've received a great deal of feedback from players and are grateful for the community's passion in helping to improve the alliance bounty system," the team added. "We're pleased with the direction bounties are taking and will continue to refine the feature, ensuring the best possible experience for players."

To Second Dinner, the ongoing communication with the community helps shape the future of in-game content. There's value in both quantitative feedback and individual suggestions from in-game surveys as well. The team is currently addressing feedback about the difficulty of "Win 8 Cubes" bounties.

The Second Dinner developers then revealed their thoughts on the meta and what's next for the game.

"We always want to keep in mind the potential meta impact of further incentivizing a particular archetype to avoid any negative effects or gameplay that players might not enjoy as much. However, we both love our Destroy decks, which feature iconic characters like Deadpool, Venom, and Shang-Chi, and we’re big fans of the PANDART Deadpool and Kim Jacinto’s Knull. Despite our love for Destroy, we want to ensure that we spotlight characters from various archetypes so that all playstyles are celebrated."

As for parting words, the developers stated they're all about the future of alliances in Marvel SNAP, hoping alliances will become a core aspect of the player experience as new features and iterations are developed. The team's top priority is for players to enjoy the game, so they encourage continued feedback and suggestions.
