MSC 2022: More than 1 million peak viewers in the group stage itself

MLBB’s player base may be concentrated in Southeast Asia, but this hasn’t stopped it from becoming one most watched esports titles in the world. This is evident in the MSC 2022’s group stage as well.

The group stage clash between Omega and RRQ Hoshi on June 12 brought in a peak viewership of 1,127,083, according to Esports Charts. The average viewership so far stands at 289,036.

The current peak viewership record for MLBB esports is 3.1 million, which was set in the M3 World Championship last year. The MSC 2021 recorded a peak viewership of 2.2 million. With the numbers seen in the group stage, the MSC 2022 Playoffs looks set to beat this number.
