Overwatch 2 April Fools’ Day patch features googly eyes galore!

April Fools' Day shenanigans are back in Overwatch 2! Similar to last year, the April Fools' Day event features heroes with googly eyes. There are some special Overwatch 2 April Fools' Day patch notes as well. Read on for details!

When you queue into a game of Overwatch 2 on April Fools' Day 2024 and click on the different heroes, all of them have googly eyes. This temporary yet hilarious update remains throughout the match as well.

If your team wins a match, then the victory screen also shows everyone with googly eyes. The same applies to the person who gets the play of the game.

If the googly eyes aren't hilarious enough, then there are some Overwatch 2 April Fools' Day patch notes, too. For example, Torbjorn's turrets can stick to walls, ceilings, and allies! This means he can even walk around with a turret on his own head if placed correctly.

Meanwhile, Widowmaker has three charges of Grappling Hook, Reaper's secondary fire shoots a shotgun, Lucio's Sound Barrier knocks enemies upwards, and so much more. You can read all of the official notes here!

Don't forget about the funny voice lines whenever heroes use their ultimates! For example, Ana says "Go get 'em tiger" when using Nano Boost while Symmetra shouts "Superior to RGB!" when activating Photon Barrier. Sombra says "Propaganda is useless," Lifeweaver goes "Beware my magic tree," and Reaper says "Happy, happy birthday."

To jump into the Overwatch 2 April Fools' Day shenanigans, simply launch the game, select "Play" from the main menu, and click on the "Arcade" card. Next, choose the "Balanced Overwatch" option. This 5v5 April Fools' Day game mode is called "TEMP - APRIL BALANCE PATCH - FINAL_FINAL_FINAL24."
