Overwatch 2 charity events

During a Twitch livestream, Neuss revealed that Overwatch 2 players can expect news about charity events soon. He said he and his team are very passionate about charitable causes. Additionally, they like having Overwatch 2 as a means to highlight these causes.

"I would say yes," Neuss said on Twitch. "I think one of the things the team's super passionate about — I mean, clearly myself — is charitable causes and like being able to use our game as a channel for things we care about. And so yes, absolutely, yes. Expect to see some news soon, I guess is what I would say."

Pink Mercy skin in Overwatch

For context, Neuss answered a question that mentioned the Pink Mercy skin. This skin was only available for a limited time back in 2018. Players had the opportunity to buy the skin and support the Breast Cancer Research Foundation's (BCRF).

All of the proceeds from the Pink Mercy skin sales went to the BCRF and its mission to end breast cancer. Blizzard also guaranteed $250,000 USD as the minimum donation.

Neuss did not indicate whether or not the Pink Mercy skin will arrive in Overwatch 2. It's also worth noting that last year, Blizzard commented about Pink Mercy skin as well, clarifying that it will not return.

"We have no plans to bring back the Pink Mercy skin or icons," the post stated.
