Here’s how to achieve victory in Mei’s Snowball Offensive game mode, which is back for Overwatch 2’s holiday season!
Mei's Snowball Offensive is back for the Overwatch 2 Winter Wonderland 2024 event! Here's our guide on how this game mode works and some Mei's Snowball Offensive tips.
Mei's Snowball Offensive: How it works
In Overwatch 2, Mei's Snowball Offensive features two teams of five players. Your team must eliminate the entirety of the opposing team to win a round. To achieve match victory, your team must win three rounds in total.
Overwatch 2 Mei's Snowball Offensive tips
Remember that when you start each round as Mei, you only get one snowball per player. You left-click to throw the snowball and hold right-click to hover over a glowing snow pile to reload. You must look at the snow pile to reload your weapon.
This leaves you vulnerable to enemies, but you can use Mei's Ice Wall to avoid getting eliminated. However, something we've observed is that enemies can use Ice Wall to block you from gathering snow and, in turn, be the one reloading instead! You can use the same strategy against them.
Work with your teammates as well. Overwatch 2's ping system, in particular, is very helpful in locating enemy Mei players. Don't forget about Cryo-Freeze in this game mode. You can use it to bait out enemy snowballs. Meanwhile, the Flurry ultimate grants Mei unlimited ammo.

Another Mei's Snowball Offensive tip is to look above an enemy's head. If they have a snowflake icon, it means they have ammo. If they don't have this icon, then they're likely looking for a snow pile to reload.
Finally, be aware of your surroundings. Mei's footsteps are quite loud in this game mode. Therefore, if you hear enemies approaching, then you can get ready to attack, find some high ground, use Ice Block, and create an Ice Wall to trap them or slow them down.
