Overwatch 2 players get free log-in bonuses ahead of holiday break

More free Overwatch 2 holiday rewards? Yes, please!

This year's Overwatch 2 Winter Wonderland event is in full swing. As something extra this holiday season, the game is giving away a free souvenir and two free player icons! Read on for the details about these Overwatch 2 log-in bonuses.

Overwatch 2 log-in bonus: Free holiday player icons

The first free Overwatch 2 player icon is the Winter Wonderland 2024 one. It's a snowflake with a blue and purple gradient as its background. The other free item is the 2025 player icon, which is similar to the hat icons from previous years. Simply log in to the game starting Dec. 19 to obtain these items.

To edit your Overwatch 2 player icon, simply launch the game, click on your name, and press the "Customization" tab. Then, in the "Player Icon" section, scroll down to the "Winter Wonderland" area. Click on the player icon and press the "Equip" button.

How to use the Darumari souvenir in Overwatch 2

As noted, there's also the Darumari souvenir to add to your collection. This is also a log-in bonus, which means all you have to do is launch the game. You can then check out the item by visiting the hero gallery, selecting your favorite Overwatch 2 character, and clicking on the cup icon.

An easy way to find this souvenir is by filtering your collection by your owned loot. Under the "Ownership" section, check "Owned" and press the "Done" button to do this.

After equipping it, simply enter a game and select "Emote" from the communication menu. Select the "Darumari" one and your chosen hero should show it off.

In terms of other freebies this holiday season, you can participate in Winter Wonderland events to earn them. Free skins include Katara Mei, Merry Marionette Echo, Cozy Cassidy, and Winter Chic Widowmaker.
