Overwatch 2 fans create Ramyatta zine: “Over 70 pages of omnic yaoi!”

The Overwatch 2 fandom has no shortage of talented artists, and a group of them recently united to create the Ramyatta zine. Called "Journey Together," the zine features two fictional characters from the franchise's universe. One of them is Ramattra while the other one is Zenyatta.

The Journey Together zine features the work of 13 artists and explores the Ramyatta pairing through more than 70 pages of artwork. It includes comics, illustrations of Ramattra and Zenyatta's various Overwatch 2 skins, scenes from their time as monks, and so much more. The artwork also ranges from humorous to serious moments, showcasing the Overwatch 2 fandom's creativity when it comes to their favorite characters. Did you know that the second-last page also features a reference to Zenyatta's "<3" voice line?

When the Ramyatta zine was completed and revealed to the world, fans of the pairing praised it through comments, likes, and shares. One user on X even expressed surprise upon finding out that the zine is entirely free. There's no profit to be made at all, indicating that this Overwatch 2 project was driven purely by love and passion.

"We wanted to cook something yummy for everyone!" the shambalidottxt account, which made the reveal post, replied.

The Ramyatta zine can be accessed via Google Drive. Shambalidottxt encouraged fans to consider following the artists who made the zine possible as well.

Fans of the Overwatch 2 pairing can participate in Ramyatta Week soon. According to shambalidottxt, the fandom event runs from Dec. 14 to Dec. 20. There are two sets of prompts from which to choose, and more information about the event can be found in the post below.

In Overwatch 2, Ramattra is a tank hero while Zenyatta has the support role. The two characters also share a past together as monks at the Shambali Monastery. After the Omnic Crisis, Ramattra heard rumors about Aurora and made a pilgrimage to the location. There, he became a monk under the tutelage of Tekhartha Mondatta. Years later, Ramattra traveled outside of the temple and met Zenyatta. It was Ramattra who guided Zenyatta to the Shambali Monastery in hopes that the latter would find purpose there as well.

As time passed, however, the more Ramattra's philosophy diverged from the Shambali Monastery. This drove him to fight for his people as the leader of Null Sector.

In a recent Overwatch 2 lore reveal, Ramattra and Zenyatta reunited under the statue of Tekhartha Mondatta. For context, the leader of the Shambali Monastery was assassinated by Widowmaker while giving a speech about human-omnic relations.
