Overwatch 2 Season 20 mid-season release date
Overwatch 2's Season 20 mid-season update arrives on Jan. 8, making it a Thursday release as opposed to a typical Tuesday one. The game's senior community and creator manager, Megan Leigh, confirmed this release date on social media.
"Heads up friends! We have our S20 midseason hitting on Thursday 1/8!" Leigh wrote on X. The post was also reiterated on the game's subreddit.

In terms of what to expect in the mid-season patch notes, we know that anti-spawn camping turrets are coming to every Stadium map. Senior game designer Miranda Nicola confirmed the Stadium update in a video back in December.
"We've noticed some matches snowballing unfairly when one team is able to spawn camp the other," Nicola said in an official video. "To fix this, we're deploying anti-spawn camping turrets to every Stadium map. These should provide extra cover and time for respawning heroes to make it back to the fight."

Overwatch 2 gets Magma Titan Doomfist skin
Magma Titan Doomfist is also arriving in Season 20's mid-cycle. Game producer Sivonne Ward confirmed this in the aforementioned video.
"At mid-season, we're releasing Magma Titan Doomfist," Ward said.
When we log in to Overwatch 2 and go through the Season 20 Battle Pass, we can also see that Magma Titan Doomfist has a bunch of matching items. These include a weapon charm, spray, and name card.

That's all for now. Are you ready for the full mid-season patch notes? We'll go over them once they're made available. Stick around on esports.gg for the more Overwatch 2 news and updates.
