Overwatch 2 Showdown Shuffle: How it works

In Showdown Shuffle, you begin a match with two random modifiers and a random hero of your selected role. All of these change throughout the match. In our case, we began with Brigitte as our support hero. We also had the Hyper Speed modifier, which meant an increased movement speed of 30% for all heroes. The Buff Hunt modifier resulted in a random hero with increased health, damage, and faster ultimate charge as well. Eliminating this buffed hero transferred the buff to another one.

Later in the match, we became Moira, Juno, and so on until we ended with Lifeweaver. Getting eliminations or assists resulted in hero changes, too. For example, when we got a kill with Brigitte, we became Moira mid-battle. After we took down an enemy Wrecking Ball, we automatically became Juno. Knowing what all of the aforementioned modifiers gave us an advantage. For example, Lie Low let us sneak around while Aerial Combat increased our damage while we were in the air.
