What is Overwatch 2 Stadium?

Stadium refers to a brand-new game mode launching in Overwatch 2 Season 16. It features a best-of-seven (Bo7) system that includes coins in each round. Players use these coins to unlock and customize hero abilities. Think of them as modifications that are reminiscent of the ones from 2023’s Trials of Sanctuary and 2024’s Junkenstein’s Laboratory.

For example, one of them lets Soldier: 76 buff the attack speed of his teammates within the radius of Biotic Field. Players can also choose between first-person or third-person perspectives.

Art director Dion Rogers and senior game designer Dylan Snyder talked about Stadium during the Overwatch 2 Spotlight livestream back in March as well. The clip of that particular segment is below.
