With the recent Overwatch 2 Spotlight event, many new features were revealed, including the first look at a few maps coming in the future.
The Overwatch 2 Spotlight event took center stage recently, with a fully fleshed-out roadmap for 2025. With plans for new modes, Perks, hero bans, and much more, many players turned their attention to a few new maps that were seen. While two concept arts appeared after the Spotlight on their X account, another was stealthily highlighted towards the end of the stream.

Back in October 2024, we saw the walls of the Overwatch 2 map, Numbani feature a hint towards two new locations. The image featured the names “Arcology” and “Morocco” with pictures of the venues.

Fast forward to the Overwatch 2 Spotlight event, where we saw more images given to us by Blizzard, which further assured us of these and more.

Blizzard followed this up by releasing two early Spotlight images featuring both the Atlantic Arcology and Tokyo maps. However, during the Spotlight event, three images were also flashed of another new map – which players seem to believe is the highly awaited Aatlis, set in Morocco.

Unfortunately, even with their previous schedule of a map every four months, a new one is not available on the release of Season 15 for Overwatch 2. With Aatlis possibly only arriving in Season 17 and the remaining two after Season 19, we could be in for the long haul of waiting.
While we know very few details regarding any of these, except a few early concept arts and screenshots, Blizzard has stated that more information will come along throughout the year. Season 16 is set to bring us Stadium, as well as a few new modes, so there is no telling if Blizzard will spring a surprise map on us then or if we will have to painfully wait until further details are announced.
