From this year’s Harvest Festival to a couple of Halloween events, Pokémon GO in October will definitely be a must-play month for most players.

Alongside its usual Halloween festivities, Pokémon GO will also celebrate the release of Pokémon Legends: Z-A with a special in-game event.

Harvest Festival 2025 will introduce two new Pokémon in the game: Dipplin and Hydrapple from Generation 9. As of writing, we still have no details regarding the Pokémon Legends: Z-A Celebration Event, but hopefully, it’ll give us some new Pokémon as well (Mega Dragonite or Mega Raichu X/Y, anyone?).

Mondays may tend to be as busy as ever, but if you have the time, you can get some Candy and XP from joining the following Max Battles:

For new players or those who missed Rayquaza, October will give you a chance to get some for a Raid Day. Finally, we’ll also get Metagross’ Mega form, which will surely become one of the best Steel-type attackers this year.
Apart from the assorted rosters of Mega Raids, Deoxys and Giratina will be available for capture in different formes, so don’t forget to join their raids as well.
Other Pokémon GO highlights this month
As usual, we will get our monthly doses of Spotlight Hours, which are basically mini-community days for specific Pokémon. For October, Spotlight Hours will feature the likes of Ferroseed, Petilil, Gastly, and Sinistea.
And of course, a major game update will take place in October, which is the new level cap for all players. Starting October 15th, every player’s level will be adjusted, and the next max level will be 80, which will prompt everyone to grind even more to unlock more perks.
