The Psychic Spectacular is back.
The Psychic Spectacular is coming back to Pokémon GO. This year, we're getting a brand new debut and our first ever event themed Dynamax Max Battles.
The Psychic Spectacular runs from September 18 at 10am, until September 22 at 8pm. All times are local to your relevant timezone.
Here's everything the event has to offer:
Pokémon GO Psychic Spectacular Bonuses
The following bonuses will be in effect:
- 2× Stardust for catching Pokémon.
- Additional Candy for Nice Throws or better.
- Increased chance for Trainers level 31 and up to receive Candy XL for successfully catching Pokémon with Nice Throws or better.
Hatenna to debut
The Psychic Spectacular will see Hatenna, the Calm Pokémon, make its debut into the game. Its evolutions will also debut into the game too. You can use 25 Hatenna Candy to evolve Hatenna into Hattrem, and 100 Hatenna Candy to evolve Hattrem into Hatterene.
Dynamax Beldum debuts
We're also getting our first ever event themed Pokémon GO Dynamax Max Battle debuts. Beldum will debit in three-star Max Battles. This also means that Dynamax Beldum, Metang and Metagross are entering the game. Beldum can be shiny after a Max Battle.

Psychic Spectacular Field Research Task Rewards
Event-themed Field Research tasks will be available. Morelull encountered via Field Research will have a greater chance of being Shiny than when found in the wild.

Event Paid Timed Research
For US$2.00 (or the equivalent pricing tier in your local currency), you’ll be able to access event-exclusive Timed Research.

- Encounters with Morelull and Hatenna
In addition there will be Collection Challenges and PokéStop Showcases. These are a great way to earn some extra rewards.
