Rainbow Six Siege new season – Release Date and information

The Six Invitational 2025 is going on in full swing and we have some of the best Rainbow Six Siege teams in action. Ubisoft has revealed they will reveal more details of the new Rainbow Six Siege season during the invitational, giving fans something to look forward to after R6 esports. 

The new Rainbow Six Siege season will be announced on Feb. 16, 2025. Going by past season announcements, the new season should kick off in around 15 days. So Rainbow Six Siege fans can expect the new season to begin in the first week of March 2025. 

Operation Collision Point was revealed on Nov. 27 during the BLAST Montreal Rainbow Six Siege tournament. The season started on Dec. 3 and was the first season with a crossplay feature introduced. 

Rainbow Six Siege Year 9 Season 4 released in December last year. The Operation Collision Point update provided a remaster to Blackbeard. It also brought several quality-of-life improvements including Cross-Play, Player Protection, and a complete rebalance of how Shields work in the game. However, it did not add a new operator, something fans are eagerly looking forward to this season. The last new operator was Skopós released in September along with Operation Twin Shells (Y9S3). 

The Six Invitational is the biggest Rainbow Six Siege esports competition. With a $3 million prize pool and some of the biggest teams in attendance, this year’s tournament has thrown up quite a few surprises. The tournament kicked off on Feb. 3 and will come to an end on Feb. 16. It is during (or just before) the Grand Finals that Ubisoft plans to give fans their first look at the new season.
