Rainbow Six Siege Year 8 Season 4 release date
There is now a release date for Operation Deep Freeze. The new season will launch on December 6, 2023.
Rainbow Six Siege Y8S4 Deep Freeze was originally scheduled to release on November 28 but has now been delayed.
While Operation Deep Freeze's launch was delayed, there were instances where players could play the new season on Xbox. Ubisoft has acknowledged this issue and has since fixed it.
There is a lot to unpack in the new Operation including a new map - Lair and a new Operator - Tubarão.
The new operator is a defender who has a Zoto canister gadget. The gadget supercools anything its impact radius making it a useful tool in the defense. It can cool attacker rushes, slowing their pace and giving the defenders more time to react. It can also freeze attacker gadgets, rendering some of them ineffective.
There's also a new map - Lair that has three levels of gameplay. With strategic exits (and also entrances) this map has a different theme per level. It will go live on all playlists when Y8S4 Deep Freeze goes live.
