Team Vitality are your EU RLCS Spring Cup champions

Want a quick recap of the Rocket League Championship Series (RLCS) 22-23 Spring Cup? Let’s take a look at the champions and the rankings.

The tension is thick in the air as we are nearing the end of the RLCS 20223-23 Spring season. Seven regions have fought their battles in the RLCS Spring Cup where old and new champions were crowned.

This will be the second last qualifier not only for the Spring season but for the whole RLCS season. We are seeing points added up with teams already receiving their invites to the RLCS Spring Major in Boston this July.

Let's do a quick recap of what happened during the RLCS Spring Cup for all seven regions.

Team Vitality back-to-back RLCS Regional champion

The French team once again claims another RLCS Regional under their belt. This time, they met up with Karmine Corp in the Grand Final, where Karmine Corp manages to reset the bracket and challenge their dominance. However, Team Vitality manages to stop Karmine Corp from another victory, winning the Grand Final with a score of 4:2.

Karmine Corp, along with Team BDS, has been consistently placing top four in the Spring season. Team Vitality stands at the top of the EU RLCS Spring Ranking and has already secured the invites for the RLCS Spring Major. There are four more slots allocated for the Europe region and we will see the rest of the teams compete for the slots in the last qualifier of the season.

Version1 secures 1st place in RLCS NA Spring Cup

Version1 finally claims another victory after a pretty rough season. They took down FaZe Clan in the Grand Finals after a dominating run in the Upper Bracket. Furthermore, the finalist of the RLCS Spring Open got wrecked in the 9th-12th place. We also see the reemergence of NRG in the top four, which we have not seen since Fall Regional 2.

This win bumped them up to share the first spot with Complexity Gaming on the Spring Ranking. Both of the teams, together with Spacestation Gaming and OpTic Gaming, are in hopes of receiving invites to the RLCS Spring Major. FaZe Clan shares the fifth place with Gen.G Mobil1 Racing and is in danger of missing the Major.

OCE top teams neck-to-neck for RLCS Spring season

Pioneers took their second regional win during the RLCS Spring Cup. In an intense three-way competition, Pioneers stays top three in the region, together with PWR and Ground Zero Gaming. Last qualifier, we saw Pioneers knocked down to the lower bracket by PWR and eliminated from the tournament by Ground Zero Gaming. This time, they became ruthless and sent PWR to the lower bracket. They met up with Ground Zero Gaming in the Grand Final, where they scored a full sweep.

The three Oceanian teams are neck-to-neck in the RLCS Spring Ranking. Only two teams get to fly across the world to the RLCS Boston Major. The last qualifier of the season will be an intense one as it will also contribute to their chance of attending the World Championship this August.

Team Falcons alive and well in the MENA region

Team Falcons took back their throne in the RLCS Spring Cup. They had previously stumbled into fourth place in the first Spring Regional. This time, they flew high across the Upper Bracket, landing themselves a Grand Final against Twisted Minds to which they scored 4:1. Twisted Minds, along with Rule One and Infinity, has been consistent in the Spring season, placing top four in both Spring qualifiers.

Since Rule One won the previous qualifier and Team Falcons scored fewer points in the fourth place, Rule One stayed at the top of the MENA RLCS Spring Ranking. Since MENA has only one allocated slot in the RLCS Spring Major, Team Falcon might miss their first Major after a long while.

Ninjas in Pyjamas wins the RLCS SAM Spring Cup

This is the second time the Brazilian team was crowned the champion of a RLCS qualifier. They went through an intense Grand Final against w7m esports where they scored the last winning goal. w7m esports has always been at the top scene in the region and this was their first Grand Final after their debut earlier this year.

There are only two slots allocated for the SAM region in the RLCS Spring Major. KRÜ Esports is still in the number one spot, followed by the recent champion Ninjas in Pyjamas. The following Regional is going to be a close one between the three other teams as they will try to battle their last chance at going to the Major.

Elevate continues conquering the APAC region

It is no surprise that Elevate still dominates the APAC region. However, the competition is picking up. Paradigm, previously Decimate Gaming, has been working hard to find its flare. They pushed through in the RLCS Spring Cup which landed them their first Grand Final with this roster. We also see the rise of the American team The Patriots who debuted in the Spring season. The Patriots have taken down APAC superstar Gaimin Gladiators in the lower bracket.

The APAC scene is very hungry for the only invite to the Major. Elevate is likely to represent APAC as they had already won two Spring regionals. However, Paradigm, Gaimin Gladiators, and The Patriots are still in the run to challenge Elevate's dominance.

No name but Limitless in the SSA region

There's no other name that dominates the 2022-23 season like Limitless. They once again met up with French class in the Grand Final and they took their second win of the RLCS Spring season. French class stays consistent in the scene after they recently formed the team.

Unfortunately for them, SSA teams will not receive any invites to the RLCS Spring Major. We will instead see them in the World Championship this coming August where two SSA teams will be invited. Limitless has already secured the Wildcard invite and we will be seeing Nixuh, Orlando Pirates Exdee, French Class, and White Rabbit Gaming in the run of the last invite to the Major.
