Our first details about Star Wars Zero Company are here.

We finally have the name of the brand new Star Wars game being developed by Respawn Entertainment and Bitreactor. The game, dubbed the Star Wars version of XCOM, is officially called Star Wars Zero Company.

We've gathered everything we know about the game and will update as more details are released this week. Bookmark it and come back!

What sort of game is Star Wars Zero Company?

Star Wars Zero Company is a single-player turn-based tactics game. The game that Zero Company has most been compared to is XCOM. This is a turn based game that sees you move troops around in combat, taking out enemies to complete objectives.

A game that resembles XCOM would work very well for Star Wars, with so many different troop-types and with combat being core to the franchise in one way or another.

What era will the game be set in?

We don't know what era the game will be set in. However, from the artwork shared today, we can see at least some of the things that will be featured. The official poster shows a Mandalorian, a Jedi, a Phase Two Clone Trooper as well as someone holding a hologram of a B1 Battle Droid.

This, combined with a tweet from the Star Wars account, shows us that the game is set before Order 66 and during the Clone Wars. That does not mean other eras won't be avaliable later down the line, but this certainly seems the best era for this sort of game.

When will Star Wars Zero Company release and on what platforms?

With the game only being debuted in April 2025, don't expect a release anytime soon. The game should release across major consoles and PC but wait for official confirmation. A late 2025 release date is the best case scenario. That said, something in 2026 would also not be a big surprise.
