Popular streamer, FaZe Rug, did the impossible and pulled three Charizard EX cards during a Pokémon TCG unboxing stream.
The popular streamer and content creator, FaZe Rug, teamed up with Lacy to do a Pokémon card unboxing stream, where they opened various packs in hopes of finding rare cards. And, well, the creator seemed to do the impossible and pull three Charizards in a row while also claiming multiple demi-god packs.
FaZe Rug pulls 3 Charizards in a row. Why is this crazy?
If you are familiar with the world of Pokémon TCG, you know how rare Charizard is. In fact, if you are into trading and selling, Charizard cards are considered the most valuable Pokémon cards, where raw cards (ungraded) sell for quite a bit still.
So, FaZe Rug pulling three in a row is almost impossible.
Rug, who was opening Scarlet and Violet 151 packs, pulled three Charizard EX cards in a row. Just one of these cards graded as a PSA 10 will go for over $1,000 USD on eBay.

The pull rate for this card per pack is 0.44% or 1 in every 227 packs. Pulling one three times in a row is absolutely ludicrous, which is why the streamer reacts so heavily when he gets that third one. The chances of this happening are less than .01%.
What is a demi-god pack?
During the stream, FaZe Rug can be heard saying things like "It is a demi-god pack!" which has left some people wondering just what a demi-god pack is. Well, it is simple. It is a pack with more than one rare card in it, where standard packs will only have one rare card, if any.
With the odds of pulling a Charizard EX in 1 of every 227 packs playing a role here, it should be even rarer to have any of these packs be a demi-god pack. Demi-god packs are extremely rare and usually are pulled around 1 and 2,000 packs.
So, knowing that pulling a single Charizard EX in any pack in this set is less than half a percent, the fact that Rug was able to pull a demi-god pack shows just how insane this situation is.
Is this a staged pull? Or did Charizard EX really get pulled 3 times in a row?
The big question is whether or not this pull is staged or real. Many people in the comments on Twitter are claiming this to be fake or are at least skeptical. I mean, the chances of three Charizards in a row are quite insane, and streamers have staged crazier events for content.
However, staging this would be incredibly difficult and would mean they would have to have resealed the packs perfectly. Still, it is not unheard of for creators to do this, and the fact that it happened at the beginning of the stream definitely brings up some skepticism.
So, did FaZe Rug actually just pull three Charizard EX cards in a row? It certainly looks as if he did; however, there is always the strong chance that we all have been fooled. Could he simply just have some of the craziest luck in the world? We may never know the truth.
