Former Twitch streamer Fuslie has announced she will be moving to YouTube exclusively beginning on September 7.
A new chapter is on the horizon for content creator Leslie Ann “Fuslie” Fu. Following a seven-year stint with the Twitch platform, Fuslie has chosen to move to YouTube, where she’ll stream exclusively starting on September 7. Fuslie (29) grew immensely on Twitch over the years—eventually amassing over 1.2 million followers and 54.2 million views.
Known most for her GTA V, Valorant, and Among Us streams, Fuslie has built quite the following on Twitch and YouTube. She’ll now take her streaming talents to the latter, where her friends and a few fellow 100 Thieves members, such as Rachell “Valkyrae” Hofstetter and Jack "CouRageJD" Dunlop, await her arrival.
It’s a significant step for Fuslie, who already boasts nearly 600K subscribers on YouTube.
Fuslie makes a move from Twitch to YouTube
In what was her final Twitch broadcast, Fuslie teased an announcement just before ending the stream. Then, she posted a Twitter video. The video depicted Fuslie as she attempted to pick out a particular guitar. She ultimately passed on the purple and blue options — potentially referencing Twitch and Facebook. Finally, Fuslie selected a red "YouTube" guitar, proclaiming, “yeah, this is the one.”
Fellow YouTube streamers Valkyrie, LilyPichu, Sykkuno, Myth, and Ludwig made cameos in the video. Lastly, the video revealed Fuslie would begin her YouTube streaming career on September 7. For Twitch, it marks the loss of another significant talent to the rival website.
Twitch and streamers bid farewell to Fuslie
Fuslie is the latest of many personalities that have chosen to leave the Twitch platform for YouTube. However, the website still maintains the ultra-popular Imane “Pokimane” Anys, who took to Twitter with some kind words.
“Congrats leslie you’ll be dearly missed on twitch, but i’m excited to see all you accomplish on youtube & beyond!”
Twitch also sent a heartfelt message to Fuslie amid her announcement.
“Your multitude of talents and uplifting spirit are known from here to Los Santos and beyond,” the tweet reads. “Congrats to you on everything that comes next. No matter what guitar you play, you'll always find your tune.”
It’s unclear what’s happening with Twitch as many high-caliber personalities have defected to its rival. Just last week, Twitch lost top Warzone streamer Swagg. Now, the loss of Fuslie indicates many more content creators could be looking to move on to YouTube.
