Street Fighter 6 Elena teaser trailer
The first reveal of Elena coming to Street Fighter 6 happened back in June 2024. During Summer Game Fest 2024, the developers showed the SF6 Year 2 character reveal trailer. Elena has a super short presence alongside other DLC fighters.
The community was both excited and disappointed. Most people liked the girl, but some players did not appreciate Elena’s new look, especially her face and hair.
With all the excitement of having the Fatal Fury characters in Street Fighter 6 and witnessing top-level matches of Capcom Cup 11, Elene went to the background of people’s attention. But she never was forgotten!
On April 10, we received another trailer for Elena in SF6. The girl looks different now.
The teaser trailer features an SF6 avatar, a guy who joins an exciting dance. Elena is somewhat distant from the main party, and it feels like she creates the vibes for everyone to enjoy — or maybe even magic illusions.
The video confirms that Elena uses Capoeira moves in Street Fighter 6. Also, the trailer announces the release date for this DLC character.
When does Elena join Street Fighter 6?
The release date for SF6 Elena is June 5, 2025.
It’s pretty interesting that Capcom releases Elena alongside SF6 on Switch 2. Street Fighter 6 is coming to the newest Nintendo console. Moreover, the DLC character and the game drops right on the Switch 2 release date — which is also June 5.
For this occasion, the developers created a special version: Street Fighter 6 Year 1-2 Fighters Edition.

The girl is a Capoeira dancer, and this affects the actual gameplay of Elena in Street Fighter 6.
In previous installments, she was a rushdown character with effective mid-range pokes. In fights, Elena strongly relies on her kicks, which create aggressive pressure, based on quick mixups.
Elena has a unique healing ability, which can be used as her Super Art. The community is pretty concerned about this prospect, as no one else among Street Fighter 6 characters has such an option.
It is yet unknown how exactly to play Elena in Street Fighter 6. Capcom should drop an SF6 Elena gameplay trailer and a character guide soon. This may happen around the start of the next competitive season: the Capcom Pro Tour 2025 kicks off at Evo Japan 2025.

How to unlock Elena in Street Fighter 6
She is an SF6 DLC character, so you should purchase Elena to unlock her in Street Fighter 6.
- SF6 Year 2 Character Pass costs $29.99. It comes with all SF6 Season 2 characters.
- Elena costs 350 Fighter Coins in the game. A package with 610 FC costs $11.99, and you can buy a Fighting Pass for 250 FC. However, the Year 2 Pass is still a better deal.
- Street Fighter 6 Years 1-2 Fighters Edition includes all 26 characters. It’s a good choice for new players. The SF6 Fighters Edition is available starting from June 5, 2025.

Like with Year 1, Street Fighter 6 got four new DLC characters with its Year 2 Pass. They are listed below.
- M. Bison: The villain was released on June 26, 2024.
- Terry Bogard: He is the first-ever guest character in a main Street Fighter game. Terry joined SF6 on Sep. 24, 2024.
- Mai Shiranui: The girl is the second Fatal Fury character in Street Fighter 6. The release date for Mai is Feb. 5, 2025.
- Elena: The Capoeira dancer is available in Street Fighter 6 on June 5, 2025.
There are other Capoeira dancers in fighting games.
- Eddy Gordo uses the dancing moves to kick his opponents in TEKKEN 8.
- Even if Salvatore Ganacci is not specifically about Capoeira, the DJ uses some elements of this dancelike martial art in Fatal Fury COTW, like the hand stance.
After Elena, we sure expect to get SF6 Year 3 DLC characters. The announcement should be made a bit later, maybe at Evo Las Vegas 2025, from Aug. 1 to Aug. 3.
