Over the first two days of the Monsters Attack! Championship, Rereplay totaled the second-highest amount of points over twelve games. Alongside Setsuko, he demonstrated why North America was one of the strongest, if not the strongest region in attendance.

However, being second place in overall points after the first two days did not net Rereplay an extra advantage for the final day. The points reset for the final day, which was played in checkmate format where the first person to place first in a game after reaching 18 points became the champion.

Rereplay continued right where he left off, in dominating fashion. He secured 3rd, 1st, and 2nd in the first three games of the finals, putting him at 21 points. There was a chance he could have ended the tournament in four games, given that he was above the checkmate threshold at the time. Unfortunately, he faltered in 5th place, opening up the opportunity for three other players to win the title in Game Five. Flancy of China, SVM YBY1 of Southeast Asia, and TexSummers of Latin America crossed the 18-point checkmate threshold after Game Four and were poised to potentially steal away the crown.

While being the most comfortable and confident on Attack Damage flex lines, Rereplay found himself on the Ability Power tree for the final game. He played the well-established composition of 4 Ox Force and 4 Spellslingers with the duo carry of Twisted Fate and Neeko. With Spellslinger Emblem and the ability to go to level 9, he was able to cap out his board with 6 Spellslingers, including a Janna 2 with Thief's Gloves and Syndra.

With this devastatingly strong team, he took down both Binteum's Last Stand board and Flancy's capped Level 9 Laser Corps board. And for securing the victory in game five of the Monsters Attack! Championship, Rereplay proved himself worthy of being crowned the world champion.

Interview with Rereplay

Among many questions asked to the Monsters Attack! world champion, Rereplay detailed part of separated him from the rest of the field in his return to the Teamfight Tactics competitive scene. It was this personal edge that helped Rereplay show he is the best player in the world and take home the title convincingly for North America.

"I think I just trust myself. Earlier in the set I wasn't that good at the game, I was a normal Challenger player," said Rereplay in the post-win interview "But mid-set I realised everyone is kind of bad at this game, everyone makes mistakes, I realised you have to trust your own intuition."
