The tournament is a Master-tier TEKKEN World Tour 2025 (TWT 2025) qualifier. Four Esports World Cup 2025 (EWC 2025) spots are available at CEO 2025. However, the game received a relatively big patch recently. Will it affect the character picks and the results?

It feels nice and reassuring to know that the chaos of Season 2 doesn’t really affect the esports schedule of TEKKEN 8. The general level of competition is extraordinary, as the best players adapt effectively to everything the developers throw into the game — including fixes.

TEKKEN 8 is present at CEO 2025 after the recent patch 2.02. The game follows the path of rebalancing defense and offense, and its current achievements in this department should reveal themselves during top-level esports matches.

CEO 2025 gathers the true elite of TEKKEN. Arslan Ash, ATIF, and a few other Pakistani players are here. Rangchu, ULSAN, and other competitors from South Korea are ready to battle for the TWT standing points. There are some really strong U.S. representatives at the event as well.

TEKKEN World Tour 2025 before CEO

The official TEKKEN 8 esports circuit started at Evo Japan 2025, and since then, we have had only a few Master and Challenger events.

  • Evo Japan 2025 — Knee is the winner
  • Brussels Challenge Major Edition 2025 — KingReyJr
  • Combo Breaker 2025 — Mulgold

Unlike the SNK World Championship or Capcom Pro Tour, TWT 2025 has no direct invites to the Finals event. Players should reach the top 20 on the global leaderboard. Succeeding at the Master-tier events, like TEKKEN 8 CEO 2025, is a great support in this process since such tournaments distribute the most points.

TEKKEN 8 Esports World Cup 2025 qualifier

In addition to ULSAN, who won TEKKEN 8 EWC 2024, there will be 31 other participants at this year’s tournament.

The same big fighting games esports events that participate in the TWT 2025 are parts of the Esports World Cup 2025 qualification, including CEO 2025. Here is a list of players who have already earned their TEKKEN 8 EWC 2025 spots.

  • Riyadh Clash 2 — ATIF
  • Evo Japan 2025 — Knee, Mulgold, Mangja, and PINYA
  • Brussels Challenge Major Edition 2025 — KingReyJr
  • Combo Breaker 2025EDGE, Arslan Ash, LowHigh, Rangchu
  • Battle Arena Melbourne 15 — Farzeen, Chikurin, NOBI, KEISUKE
  • Headstomper 2025 — ILIAS

Each new qualifier lets players with lower placements make it to the EWC 2025. But after the CEO 2025, we have only two qualifiers: The MIXUP 2025, from July 5 to July 6, and Evo Las Vegas 2025, from Aug. 1 to Aug. 3.

Right before the main TEKKEN 8 Esports World Cup 2025 tournament, there will be a Last Chance Qualifier, with four additional spots.

Don't miss other big tournaments at CEO 2025! Street Fighter 6 has a Premier-tier Capcom Pro Tour qualifier.
