Top 8: recap
CBM and Raef started the top 8 part with a mirror Jin match. The Kazama style of Raef turned out to be more effective, and the player proceeded to the Winners final.
In the parallel bracket, Arslan Ash faced Rangchu. Whatever people may say about the bear in TEKKEN, Rangchu cooks with this character! The fight was super close, and Rangchu sent Arslan Ash to the losers brackets.
Most matches in the losers brackets were intense 3:2s. ATIF lost game 1 vs Shadow 20z almost hopelessly, and he switched from Dragunov to Nina — to fight back properly. In his next match, ATIF literally eliminated CBM, with a clear 3:0.
EDGE was a hero of the lower side. He got to the TWT Finals 2024 Playoffs via the LCQ, and he delivered some mind-blowing matches. In round 3, EDGE managed to resist the terrifying grabs of King — he defeated THE JON. In the losers quarter-final, EDGE faced Arslan Ash himself. And EDGE defeated this mighty opponent in a super close set.
Raef had a great run in the TWT 2024 top 8 brackets. With his Jin Kazama, he defeated CBM and gave quite a fight to Kuma of Rangchu. Still, despite all the effort, Raef was stopped by ATIF. After two dominant games, ATIF got a proper response, but the initial momentum was enough to carry ATIF and his Dragunov to the grand final.
Grand final
This match was filled with dominant Perfects and crazy clutches. There even was a technical issue: disconnect that worked in favor of ATIF in game 1.
After that, Rangchu delivered one of the best comebacks of the entire TWT 2024.
Rangchu reached the tournament point with an impressive Perfect round.
And here is the moment of ultimate victory. Rangchu wins TWT 2024! He is the first World Tour Champion for TEKKEN 8. It's his second TWT title.
