There’s no better way to kick off the 2026 season than with a brand-new VALORANT event: Alpha vs. Omega. The event is about to begin, and you can win multiple in-game and real-world prizes. Let’s dive into how you can participate!
What is the Alpha vs Omega event?
As Riot Games explains, the Alpha vs. Omega conflict is "a fight for the future of two realities." Each week, new global challenges will be unlocked, pitting you against the other side. Wins the faction with the most points. The victorious ones can claim exclusive Player Cards, while those who earn the most points at the end of the event can get physical merchandise.
Eligibility
The first thing you must do is verify your eligibility to participate in the event.
- Have a valid Riot Games account.
- You must be 13 or older to participate (15 in South Korea, 16 in EMEA and Japan). If you’re under 18, a parent or legal guardian must represent you during registration.
- You can't be from Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Crimea, Luhansk, Sudan, Venezuela, Greece, Italy, Romania, Quebec, Myanmar, or of countries or region where VALORANT is published by a local publisher (e.g., China), other than Taiwan and Vietnam.
- You are not employed by or otherwise affiliated with Riot Games

How to participate
The first step to participate is choose a side. Alpha or Omega. Then, you'll need to play VALORANT matches and earn points towards your faction. Players will earn points based on the points they accumulate in each weekly leaderboard. Once you choose, you can't change it for the four-week duration of the event. Choose wisely!

VALORANT Alpha vs Omega: Timeline
Here is the official timeline of the VALORANT Alpha vs. Omega event. All the challenges start at 12 a.m. PT and end at 11:59 p.m. PT.

Tiebreaker for two or more players with the same score will be their ACS (Average Combat Score) during the weekly challenge.
How to Win
The faction with the highest total points at the end of each weekly challenge will be declared the winner and receive a participation reward. Additionally, individual participants who top the challenge leaderboards will earn extra rewards.
Prizes
For all the entrants of the winning faction who play a minimum of three games that week will get an exclusive player card. These will be redeemable via a redemption code.
The top 20 participants (10 from each faction) on the overall event leaderboard will get physical merchandise. For pc players:

For console players, they will receive a VALORANT Custom Console Controller + Apparel (estimated ARV $130.00). For some countries, including Vietnam and Korea, which are ineligible for physical rewards, they will receive an amount of VALORANT Points equal to the ARV instead.
