VALORANT Champions playoffs bracket drawn: Fnatic vs. KRÜ, sets up potential Masters finals rematch

The VALORANT Champions playoffs bracket has been drawn: depending on how the last games work out, we could see a Masters Berlin finals rematch in the quarterfinals.

Riot Games have announced the bracket for the VALORANT Champions playoffs. While only five teams have qualified, it seems the bracket was drawn early, to allow teams to study their potential opponents a few days before the games.

Playoff matchups

The playoff matches will include:

Acend vs winner of Team Vikings/Team Secret

Team Liquid vs. winner of Vision Strikers/Cloud9 Blue

Gambit vs. winner of Envy/X10 CRIT

Fnatic vs. KRÜ Esports

Only one match is fully set. After KRÜ Esports shocking win over Sentinels, they'll face the surprise winners of Group D, Fnatic, in what will be a hotly contested match. As for the other games, with so many surprising results coming out of this tournament, it's hard to determine who will be facing what European team.

Playoff games will be taking place on Wednesday and Thursday this week, December 8th and the 9th. Riot have not yet published the order in which the games will be played.

Who will join EMEA and LATAM in the playoffs?

European and Latin American teams have won every spot in the playoffs so far, in what has been a crazy tournament. Three more teams are left to be decided tomorrow for the Champions Playoffs bracket.

First up will be Team Vikings taking on Team Secret. Both teams have had very impressive tournaments, after coming in with low expectations. Each also took a map off the reigning champions, Gambit. This is a tough match that is too close to call. The winner will take on Acend, who struggled mightily against Vivo Keyd but easily swept aside Envy to take first seed in their group.

Similarly, Vision Strikers and Cloud9 Blue will be a fun one as well. North America has disappointed so far, but Cloud9 has had close games. Vision Strikers, meanwhile, came into the event as one of the favorites to win. While Fnatic was the best in the group, VS and C9B are still dangerous. One will go home, though, while the winner takes on another tournament favorite, Team Liquid, in what will be one of the most high-profile matches of the quarters.

The final match is Envy vs. X10 CRIT. This group has been impossible to decide. Vivo Keyd looked great against Acend, but then were dominated by X10C, while Acend went on to win the group. Anything could happen in this last match. The winner will go to the playoffs, where they'll face Masters Berlin winner Gambit. If Envy win, that will be a rematch of the Masters Berlin finals.
