Here is what went down between Vitality and Team Heretics.

It was Team Vitality who will face 100 Thieves later on today in the Red Bull Home Ground Valorant semifinal after dispatching Team Heretics 2-0. It was a clean victory for the EMEA side which should give them confidence moving into their semifinal matchup against North American side 100 Thieves. This will be the third and final VCT Americas side they have faced after going up against Cloud9 and KRU in the group stage.

For Heretics, they will now have to go back to the drawing board as they simply could not keep up with Vitality today. Here is what went down between the two Valorant sides at the Red Bull Home Ground event earlier today.

Vitality's impressive defense secured the win on Haven

It was a tale of two halves in this first map, with Vitality's strong defence being the difference maker. The teams were evenly matched in the opening half, Team Heretics looked comfortable with the position they were in, with Vitality a bit slow out of the gate. Only Michał "MOLSI" Łącki going positive in the opening half for Vitality with a 10/9/1 KDA.

The second half is when the game truly came to life. Vitality Valorant was monstrous on the defensive side. The EMEA squad strung together seven of eight rounds in the second half to secure the victory for Vitality. MOLSI continued his positive form from the first half with an 11/4/2 KDA. The Polish Valorant player was the best performer in the series with an ACS of 309 according to VLR.gg.

A strong first half was enough on Pearl

It was a strong first-half performance from Team Vitality that was enough to seal the deal and book their spot in the semifinal of the Red Bull Home Ground Valorant event. Vitality was aggressive when it mattered with MOLSI again pulling the strings. The Polish star shone on Kayo, disabling any counter-aggression Team Heretics wanted to throw at them.

The star of the half had to go to BONECOLD with the Finnish Controller putting up 14 kills in the first half. Vitality went into the second half with a scoreline of 8-4, not the strongest position but enough to give them some comfort room. This is where MOLSI and ceNder came to life with 20 kills between them in the half to ensure Team Heretics would be going home.
