Midnight is patch 12.0 on the World of Warcraft clock, and Gamescom Opening Night Live has just revealed details on the upcoming expansion.
World of Warcraft may not reach the heights it did in 2009, but Midnight is giving players something to be excited about after a Gamescom reveal. With Opening Night Live setting the stage, many tuned in to what would be a few days of highly anticipated news about the next expansion in the series. Midnight, Patch 12.0 in WoW terms, was revealed at Gamescom, and players are hoping that housing is not a mess.

For some time, we have known the next stop in Blizzard's epic, massive multiplayer online role-player game (MMORPG), World of Warcraft. Gamescom's Opening Night Live gave us a full reveal trailer for Midnight, as we look to the future of the game and the unkillable franchise. Although we did not receive a release date, the reveal showcased some of the features players have been looking forward to. The cinematic, as usual, showed off the story to come.
With the Sunwell in danger, Lady Liadrin and Lor'themar take on Xal'atath's forces in Silivermoon City. At the end of the reveal at Gamescom, we learned that World of Warcraft Midnight would release in 2026. However, with a release date not yet confirmed, we can only pre-purchase the game at this moment in time.
Although we still have quite some time left in The War Within, Midnight is already lining up to be amazing. Over the next few days, we will also get a closer look at Player Housing and much more. Already confirmed are a new Demon Hunter specialization and a new allied race. But it is unlikely to stop there.
