Not all brave warriors enter the battlefields of Wuthering Waves (WuWa) with sharp Swords and heavy Gauntlets. The harmony of a sweet melody also has an amazing power. It can inspire and heal teammates. A skilled musician can even turn these vibes into damaging attacks. That’s exactly the approach of the new WuWa character, Ciaccona. Ciaccona in Wuthering Waves: Drip marketing
The official confirmation of Ciaccona joining WuWa was shared via the game’s official social media account. The drip marketing for WuWa Ciaccona included her art poster, a quote, and a brief story around the new character.
“Off we go! May my poems light the way on your path ahead!”
The girl is a bard in Rinascita. Ciaccona travels across the WuWa region and sings her poems that are filled with romance, passion, free spirit, and sincere emotions. Her music strangely combines joy of living and sorrow for those who already left this world.
Who is WuWa Ciaccona?
WuWa players already met Ciaccona. The girl is an non-playable character (NPC) in some of the quests. In the story, she plays relatively the same role as in the battles.
Unilike WuWa Zani, this character wasn’t shown during the WuWa 2.0 campaign. Only some leaks hinted at the red hair of Ciaccona, her elf ears, and a musical instrument.

The official reveal of Ciaccona states the rarity level of this character alongside her weapon and element.

Ciaccona has strong support abilities. With her Resonance Liberation, the Resonator starts a beautiful music performance with ghostly clones to spread damaging waves — if another character appears on the scene, the concert continues. The Outro Skill of Ciaccona gives the next teammate Aero Erosion DMG Amplification. Also, Ciaccona provides her team with extra Aero DMG.
Like other WuWa characters, Ciaccona is able to attack and deal direct damage. She uses her musical instruments for this. Her signature weapon is Woodland Aria, a 5-star Pistol.
During Wuthering Waves battles, Ciaccona can create clones of herself and then switch between them to quickly change her position. This helps the girl be unpredictable with her swift attacks.

The release date for Ciaccona in WuWa
Ciaccona joins WuWa with Version 2.3. The developers revealed her after Zani, so Ciaccona has a banner in the second half of this update. The release date if Wuthering Waves 2.3 is April 29.
WuWa 2.2 is going to be shorter. The developers organize the 1st Anniversary celebration and an interesting collaboration coming to the game.
Ciaccona is not the first character in video games to battle with music. I-No is a witch in the fighting game Guilty Gear Strive, and she has a guitar to attack opponents with powerful accords. As a WuWa character, Ciaccona can be compared to Yinlin, another 5-star Resonator.
