Nicole, Ellen, and Astra Yao gets new look as ZZZ adds skins

Zenless Zone Zero is debuting skins in the version 1.5 update for three characters. Check out everything we know about the Nicole, Ellen, and Astra Yao skins here!

Skins will officially be added to ZZZ, as per the version 1.5 livestream. The new looks, called "outfits," will operate similarly to how Genshin Impact, another HoYoverse title, handles them. For A-rank Agents like Nicole, their skins will be available for free for a limited time. Skins for S-rank Agents like Ellen Joe and Astra Yao will have to be purchased from the in-game store.

We are getting three skins to debut the mechanic.

Nicole's skin, called Cunning Cutie, will be given for free as a reward for playing the "The Day of Brilliant Wishes" event. For players who cannot get the reward before the event's duration lapses, the skin can be acquired by purchasing it in the in-game store.

Ellen Joe's schoolgirl look has long been questioned by the playerbase, and now it's being added as a playable skin! The Ellen skin, called On Campus, will be available at a discount from the in-game store. The discounted rate will last throughout ZZZ version 1.5, after which it will be sold in full price.

The newest S-rank Agent to ZZZ, Astra Yao, is also getting a skin! This alternate outfit for her completely departs from the red in exchange for a dark, intricate corset tube dress. The white remains in her outfit to accentuate the dark colors of her dress and hair.

The skins for Nicole, Ellen, and Astra Yao go live on Zenless Zone Zero version 1.5, scheduled for Jan. 22, 2025.
