Catch Tapu Koko with our Pokémon GO raid guide.

As part of the huge week of Pokémon GO action, Tapu Koko will be back in raids during the Into the Wild event. The generation seven legendary has a unique typing and is the guardian of Melemele Island.

Unfortunatley, Tapu Koko will not have its exclusive Charged Attack. Any Tapu Koko you catch will only be able to learn this move via Elite TM.

The move is "Natures Madness." It's a Fairy-type move that hits hard, which will make Tapu Koko more relevant in the Fairy-type category. If you get your hands on a Tapu Koko with good IV's, it might be worth investing an Elite Charged TM to get Natures Madness.

Best Tapu Koko counters in Pokémon GO:

Tapu Koko has a weakness to Ground and Poison-type attacks. It has a resistance to Bug, Dark, Electric, Fighting and Flying-type attacks. It then also has a double resistance to Dragon-type attacks, so leave them behind when taking on this Raid!

Thankfully, with so many good Pokémon to choose from in the Ground category especially, this does make Tapu Koko reasonably simple to take down.

Here are the best Tapu Koko counters in Pokémon GO:

There are plenty of powerful and easily accessible Pokémon that you can use to build your team for this Tapu Koko.

Everyone should have Pokémon like Garchomp and Groudon, who have been in Raids, Mega Raids and Primal Raids throughout the year.

Excadrill, while better as a Shadow can also be powerful in it's standard form and has been spawning everywhere during thre Simply Groundbreaking event. Roselia is readily available during Into the Wild, so a good Roserade should be achievable too.

Mega Garchomp, Mega Gengar and Primal Groudon are all also good counters in their standard form. As you can only have one Mega Evolved Pokémon at once, don't be shy to include the standard forms of these Pokémon in your raid team.
