Hearthstone Battle of Tol Barad Tavern Brawl guide

This week’s Tavern Brawl is the Battle of Tol Barad! Claiming your first weekly Tavern Brawl victory results in a free Standard card pack, so here’s our guide and some deck codes!

In this Tavern Brawl, you get to play a minion and receive a random spell of the same cost. This spell is also free! Note that these spells aren’t cast right away, either. Instead, each one of them occupies space in your hand, allowing you to decide when to play them.

Minions that synergize well with spells can do well in this Tavern Brawl. A couple of examples include Mana Wyrm and Irondeep Trogg. However, remember that the spells gained are random, so a bit of luck can go a long way. 

Playing a bunch of small minions can give you an advantage in the early game. You can buff these minions up and control the board with your hand of random spells as well. Of course, if you're digging for answers, make sure to have some card draw and minions to play in the mid to late game.

To enter the fray, you must select a class and create your own deck. This brawl is Wild as well, which means cards from previous expansions can be chosen. Here are some deck codes for this week’s challenge.

Enter this Tavern Brawl by selecting the "Modes" option via the game's main menu. Next, choose the fourth icon, select your class, build your deck, and hit the "Brawl" button.
