GEN vs KT was a best-of-five (Bo5) matchup that started on Nov. 1 at 3 a.m. ET. The match was live on Twitch, but it can still be watched below and on the official YouTube channel for LoL Worlds 2025.

GEN and KT faced off on Day 1 of the LoL Worlds 2025 semifinals after some well-earned victories. GEN players entered the matchup from a recent 3-1 win over Hanwha Life Esports (HLE) in the quarterfinals, while KT players entered the fray with momentum after a dominant 3-0 sweep against CTBC Flying Oyster (CFO).

Both teams are also part of the League of Legends Champions Korea (LCK) circuit, but only one of them advanced to the grand finals. All eyes were on GEN players as did their best to repeat their success from the Swiss Stage and set up another clash with T1. As for KT, its players claimed victory against GEN 3-1. Their next step may be challenging Top Esports (TES) again for the LoL Worlds 2025 title depending on the result of TES vs T1 on Nov. 2.

"During the preparation, we always kept in mind that our performance is not perfect, but we still have a long way to go," Bdd said. "So we just wanted to make sure that we are giving our best. And I think we were able to beat Gen.G today because our movement as a team was better."

Bdd then added that their confidence began in Game 1 when KT overcame a difficult situation to secure a win. "So it gave us a lot of confidence," he said.

As noted, T1 must duke it out against TES on Nov. 2. Then, after a week of rest, the LoL Worlds 2025 Finals match begins on Nov. 9.
