Nijisanji Fes 2022 will feature performances from dozens of the vtubing agency’s top talents including Tsukino Mito and Kuzuha.
Vtuber agency Nijisanji has announced a huge festival set to take place at the end of this month. From September 30th until October 2nd, Nijisanji will take over the Makuhari Messe, in Chiba, Japan, for NIJISANJI Fes 2022.
The largest event the Vtuber company has ever held, NIJISANJI Fes will feature live performances, as well as streamed international via Stagecrowd, in a partnership between Sony Music Solutions Inc. and ANYCOLOR Inc.
Nijisanji is one of the largest Vtuber agencies in the world, with 169 members across a dozen branches. Their most popular talents include Hyakumantenbara Salome, Tsukino Mito and perhaps the most popular male vtubers in the world in Vox Akuma and Kuzuha. Tsukino Mito and Kuzuha will join a virtual-star-studded lineup that will perform across three days.
With two night stage, and six main stage programs, there’s sure to be something for everyone. The performances include NIJISANJI 4th Anniversary LIVE "FANTASIA”, Wanna Game-Lu at NIJIFes? Let's Game-Ru at NIJIFes!, Field Trip! ROF-MAO CRAM SCHOOL and more.
These premium shows are streamable through Stagecrowd and tickets to will be available through that platform. Stages will be available in the following countries and regions: Australia, Brazil, Canada, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Italy, Korea, Macao, Malaysia, Mexico, New Zealand, Peru, Singapore, Spain, Taiwan, Thailand, United Kingdom, United States.
Not just for the Stagecrowd at Nijisanji Fes 2022
But even if you’re not up for the main stage performances, Nijisanji is hosting dozens of programs on its main channel. These will feature some of the main stage performers, as well as other Nijisanji talents.
Overall, Nijisanji Fes 2022 is set to be one of the largest Vtubing events we’ve ever seen. Vtubers made a splash this year at the Anime Expo in July, with US-based Vtubing companies such as Phase Connect, Tsunderia, and VShojo attending live. This featured virtual meet and greets and panels from the talents.
Live events are clearly the next big step in Vtubing. Taking an audience which traditional only interacted online, and converting it to convention and festival goes is a great move. And the outpouring of support we see from donations and super chat suggests that the audience is ready and willing to pay.
