TFT patch 16.5 notes

TFT patch 16.5 is the halfway point of the Lore & Legends set and features many buffs following patch 16.4’s changes to leveling and odds. While patch 16.4 made it easier to hit three-star, three-cost units, patch 16.5 makes them stronger. According to Katie “Riot Ukime” Guo and Rodger “Riot Prism” Caudill, these buffs also go to two-cost units to make them more competitive with four-cost and five-cost carries.

“Graves, Orianna, and Rek’Sai are all strong units that fall off once they hit three stars,” they explained. “We’re giving relatively large buffs to their three-star form, but for Orianna, who is really strong at one and two-stars already, we’re lowering her power until she can get to that three-star point.”

Riot Ukime and Riot Prism then noted that Leona, Malzahar, and Zoe aren’t worth three-starring since Malzahar players often aim for a fourth star instead. Vayne, meanwhile, struggles in the late game but receives a three-star buff to improve her viability.
