Final Scores for Fnatic vs NAVI VCT EMEA 2023

Fnatic faces NAVI in epic duel for the Number One seed

Fnatic currently sits at the top of the standings in the EMEA League at 7 - 0. They remain the only team in the entire VCT to have not lost a match thus far in the season; with their most recent match ending in a 2 - 0 victory against Karmine Corp. And while they have certainly looked the part of a final boss for much of this season, their performances of late have left them looking a bit shaky. Something that NAVI will be hoping to take full advantage of today.

NAVI currently sit comfortably in second place in the EMEA standings at 7 - 1. With their most recent match ending in a solid 2 - 0 win over FUT Esports. While both sides have already secured their spots, NAVI will be looking to stamp their authority over the region as a whole. As well as the added incentive of getting a first-round bye in the playoffs, putting both sides that much closer to a Masters Tokyo spot. This is a true clash of the titans and we cannot wait for this to get started.

Fnatic takes care of business on Lotus

Fnatic brings us to Lotus for Map 1 of this series. Each team ops to take a very different approach to the map in terms of agent composition. With Fnatic going with a double-controller setup and NAVI going for their double-initiator comp.

NAVI wins the opening pistol round, which enables them to establish early control in this series at 4 - 0. Fnatic begin to fight their way back into the half with some good utility usage; accompanied by a great play out of Chronicle. They manage to take the lead at 5 - 4 following a lengthy technical issue for NAVI. But an adjustment from NAVI enables them to keep things level after the first half at 6 - 6.

NAVI take the second pistol round but are unable to take full advantage of it as Fnatic answers back in the anti-eco. Fnatic begin to extend their lead at 9 - 7, but they prove to be costly endeavors as they opt for a very drawn-out playstyle on their attack side. They reach the double-digit mark but NAVI continues to linger in this map. The rounds continue to be close affairs, but Fnatic shows enough bite to put themselves on match point at 12 - 9. And, sure enough, Fnatic are able to close out their map pick of Lotus 13 - 9 to give themselves the lead in this series.

Map 2: Split

After barely losing out on Lotus, NAVI bring us to Split for Map 2. And they opt to go for a much more aggressive team composition this time around as Ange1 opts to select Yoru.

Fnatic clutch up in the opening pistol round despite an aggressive push from NAVI to kick things off. And they take the anti-eco before falling on their bonus round. Their lead stretches to 4 - 1 as NAVI find themselves running into a brick wall on their attacking half. NAVI manage to claw their way back into the half thanks in part to Ange1's Yoru play, but a 4k from Chronicle allows them to maintain their advantage. NAVI attempt to re-asses their approach via a timeout but again fall to the well-orchestrated defensive setups of Fnatic. With Alfajer putting on the hero cape for his side with his near-flawless Cypher play. Efforts which enable Fnatic to take a 8 - 4 lead into halftime.

Fnatic take the second pistol round as well as a flawless anti-eco to hit the 10 point mark. NAVI manage to get their fifth round on the board, but it is a costly affair for them as they look to claw back into this map. But it proves to be too easy for Fnatic as they reach match point at 12 - 5, forcing NAVI to call their final timeout of the map. NAVI win a few more rounds as they look to capture their second-wind in this map. But the heroics could not carry them much further. And with one final swing from Alfajer, Fnatic take Split 13 - 8 and the series 2 - 0. Solidifying the Number One seed for the EMEA Playoffs as well as their status as the only undefeated team in the VCT.
