VALORANT 6.06 patch notes: Gekko updates and social fixes galore

The VALORANT 6.06 patch notes deliver a hefty amount of bug fixes for the social sector of the Riot Games title.

VALORANT Episode 6 just keeps chugging along with the 6.06 patch notes. This Episode introduced Lotus in its first Act and Gekko in its second. Both have become important and exciting parts of the first-person shooter and are receiving constant updates to ensure they stay balanced.

The VALORANT 6.06 patch notes touches on them both. The map and Agent aren't the only focus, however. In the update, you'll find a gameplay system update and plenty of bug fixes centered around the social aspects of the game.

Here are the small details adjusted for both Gekko and Lotus in the update:

  • Damage to objects from Gekko's Mosh Pit reduced from 2.5x to 1x to be consistent with other Agents' abilities.
  • Wingman will now always die if he is the last one alive.
  • The A Link to A Main destructible door on Lotus is now easier to see through as it falls away with a destruction VFX fix.

Every bug fix in the update

The VALORANT 6.06 patch notes only have a couple of bug fixes not labeled "Social" . Those are:

  • Wingman no longer concusses intangible players.
  • Players should no longer load into a match with an incorrect view of under the map.

The rest deal with VALORANT Social functions and are as follows:

  • Fixed a bug preventing you from sending a whisper starting with a Circumflex Accent ^. You can now whisper cute emoticon faces to each other using ^w^.
  • Fixed a bug causing ping icons to be displayed even when someone was muted. Muting someone will now properly suppress ping icons.
  • Fixed a bug where the voice chat UI was obscured when your Agent was blinded. You can now see, even when your Agent can’t.
  • Fixed a bug where the join party button would still be active even though the party invite was no longer valid.
  • Fixed a bug where when searching your friends list, the number of people a friend is in a party with would not display correctly.
  • Fixed a bug where scrolling the social panel would sometimes scroll other UI elements like the Agent carousel.
  • Fixed a bug where the friends list was obscured when auto-reject friend requests was enabled.

Additionally, there is one Gameplay Systems Update. This allows you to hide Agent outlines and their outline colors (fresnel). You can do this by going to the General tab of your settings. Under "Other," you will now see the option to toggle "Hide Outlines and Fresnel."
