Core

  • Zai - Team Liquid
  • Skiter - Tundra Esports

Mid

  • Nisha - Team Liquid

Supports

  • Oli~ - Talon
  • 皮球 - Team Aster

We decided to go pretty heavily in on Team Liquid getting two games today, using our gold Zai and Gold Nisha to farm points. If Aster gets through, we'll still benefit from 皮球's contribution, so bets are kind of hedged. A lack of cards and our own predictions mean we haven't gambled on EG, instead picking up Oli~ who's recent performances have been incredible.

Berlin Major Fantasy picks for May 3

Core

  • dryachyo - Gaimin Gladiators
  • yuragi - OG

Mid

  • Quinn - Gaimin Gladiators

Supports

  • Oli~ - Talon
  • Seleri- Gaimin Gladiators

With a mix of upper bracket and elimination games, we look to lean heavily on upper bracket carries, while supplementing our Support picks with Oli~ from Talon to get a boost out of the remaining elimination game. Seleri rounds out our Support picks thanks to our gold card's great stat bonuses.

Core

  • Pakazs - Evil Geniuses
  • m1CKe - Team Liquid

Mid

  • Nisha - Team Liquid

Supports

  • 皮球 - Team Aster
  • Mira - Team Spirit

With less teams playing and just three games, this lineup is about getting the most out of a the small number. Our Pakazs death stat will help us get some points out of a difficult matchup, and Team Liquid should secure some good points. For supports we stick with the reliable Mira and 皮球.

Core

  • Ace - Gaimin Gladiators
  • Skiter - Team Liquid

Mid

  • Quinn - Gaimin Gladiators

Supports

  • Mira - Team Spirit
  • Chu - OG

With just a few games today, we picked players we felt would get into the best of threes, rather than those who might just have the 2-0 scorelines!

Berlin Major Fantasy picks for April 30

Core

  • Dyracho - Gaimin Gladiators
  • Zai - Team Liquid

Mid

  • Quinn - Gaimin Gladiators

Supports

  • Mira - Team Spirit
  • Fly - Shopify Rebellion

With just one set of matches this day, there's a limited choice for good fantasy picks. There's a chance of tiebreakers, so thats why we picked up supports who were on the threshold for that, combined with some safe numbers in Zai and the GG players.

Berlin Major Fantasy picks for April 29

Core

  • Yuragi - OG
  • Skiter - Tundra Esports

Mid

  • BZM - OG

Supports

  • 皮球 - Team Aster
  • Sneyking - Tundra Esports

With the teams performing so well in yesterday's lineup, we recommend just switching out any players not playing two games on April 29!

Berlin Major Fantasy picks for April 28

Core

  • Ace - Gaimin Gladiators
  • Skiter - Tundra Esports

Mid

  • BZM - OG

Supports

  • 皮球 - Team Aster
  • Sneyking - Tundra Esports

With the top of the leader board more established at the end of day two, its clear that betting on OG and Gaimin Gladiators is a safe one. 皮球 has been so reliable for Aster, it's kinda crazy. The only player we've not changed from our lineup.

*An earlier version of this article included Mira - Team Spirit in the lineup, but was revised based on scheduling

Berlin Major Fantasy picks for April 27

Core

  • Zai - Team Liquid
  • MieRo - 9Pandas/Hellraisers

Mid

  • Nisha - Team Liquid

Supports

  • 皮球 - Team Aster
  • Oli - Talon Esports

For the second day of the major, we switch out a lot of picks, because many players we ran yesterday only have a single game today. MieRo's performance on Alchemist on Wednesday was impressive enough to make our roster even with a Silver, and we hope to see Nisha step up and breach the 30-40 point range in his two games.

Berlin Major Fantasy picks for April 26

Core

  • dyrachyo - Gaimin Gladiators
  • Skiter - Tundra Esports

Mid

  • Quinn - Gaimin Gladiators

Supports

  • 皮球 - Team Aster
  • Seleri - Gaimin Gladiators

In our picks for day one, we made sure to only pick players on teams what had two games. That eliminates Talon and 9 Pandas from being effective picks for the day. Our dyrachyo's GPM bonus, and Team Fight win bonus +10% stat make him a great pick as core, while skiter’s Creep Score bonus is perfect. Quinn is an obvious choice for mid laner, and Aster’s 皮球 and GG’s Seleri round out the support due to us owning the Gold Cards, and their good bonus stats (Deaths on Supports is a very good stat). Remember that stat bonuses on cards are different each time, and it's why new packs are always valuable!

General DPC Fantasy Tips

Here’s some general advice for playing DPC and Berlin Major Fantasy:

  • Make sure you’re always picking players that play the most games. In groups, that’s the players playing more than one game, and possibly being involved in tie breakers.
  • In the playoffs, a team may be scheduled to play more than one game if they win. Try and predict the winners for maximum points.
  • Avoid matchups you think will be stomps, and aim for series that go the distance. Even if a player loses a best-of-three that goes to three games, they’ll likely score more fantasy points than if they won a stomp 2-0.
  • In general, a Gold or Silver card is always better than a Normal. Even if you might have a player more likely to score higher, if you have a Gold or Silver player, pick them, or draw cards to try and get your chosen player
  • After teams have been eliminated, you can recycle their player cards (providing they’ve not been used in a lineup before).

Berlin Major Fantasy is a mini game within the Dota 2 client that lets you set a fantasy Dota 2 lineup and win Shards. There’s potential for up to 1750 bonus Shards each day, as well as Shards just for taking part. Make sure you play every day to earn loads of Dota 2 shards!

How does it work?

For the Berlin Major, the DPC Fantasy season has continued from the Spring Tour. As a result, any cards you’ve acquired over the season for the three League periods will work in the Berlin Major Fantasy.

You’ll gain points for things like kills, assists, GPM, Teamfights won, stuns, wards placed, etc. If you have a Silver or Gold card, you’ll gain bonuses to those scores based on what it says on the card.
