Zerek’s cloning technology has gone out of control! Here’s how to approach Hearthstone’s When Clones Attack Tavern Brawl and claim victory.
This week's Hearthstone Tavern Brawl is When Clones Attack! A likely play on the "Attack of the Clones" movie from the Star Wars franchise, this game mode lives up to its namesake. However, there's a twist! Read on for our When Clones Attack Tavern Brawl guide so you can earn a free Standard card pack.
When Clones Attack Tavern Brawl guide
The When Clones Attack Tavern Brawl in Hearthstone features cloning technology gone awry! This means whenever you drop a minion on the board, it gets a 1/1 clone of itself. This particular Tavern Brawl doesn't require you to build your own deck, so simply jump in and enter the fray.
Although you don't need to create your own Hearthstone deck for this Tavern Brawl, you can still strategize a bit. During mulligan, make sure to have cards that can be played in the early game. For example, having minions that cost one, two, or three mana allows you to have some early board control. As you go through your deck, continuing to play for tempo can also increase the chances of winning this Tavern Brawl.

Make sure to read the card text of the different minions as well. Since all of the minions in your deck are random, you can run into some interesting ones that counter your opponent's side of the board. In the screenshot above, the Coin into Spirit of the Dragonhawk allowed for a ping and board clear on turn two.
However, watch out! Your opponent can also get lucky with the different mechanics in Hearthstone. For example, they can have lots of Deathrattle cards that may become difficult to deal with as the game continues on.
To access the When Clones Attack Tavern Brawl, simply launch Hearthstone and select the "Tavern Brawl" option in the main menu. Don't forget to claim your free weekly Hearthstone card pack as well. If you win your first Tavern Brawl of the week, then you can access this pack of cards through the game's main menu. Just press the "Open Packs" button.
