ALGS Split 1 Playoffs: Schedule, groups, Twitch drops, and more

The ALGS Split 1 playoffs take place February 2-5. All the details on how to watch, who’s playing, and when to watch the action.

The ALGS Split 1 Playoffs are set to be held at the Copperbox Arena, London between February 2 to February 5. 40 teams will compete for a share of the $1,000,000 prize pool. They will also compete for valuable 'Playoff Points'. It is through playoff points that teams will qualify for the end-of-season ALGS Championship to be held in the summer.

As well as having an in-person crowd, the ALGS Split 1 Playoffs will also be streamed on Twitch. The award-winning Multiview will return, as will Twitch Drops.

There is also a host of talent forming a star-studded ALGS broadcast team in London. This includes NiceWigg and Greek who are back hosting their incredibly popular B-stream.

This makes it more important than ever for teams to qualify for the finals. Smaller regions like South America lack third-party tournaments, putting extra emphasis on the money ALGS can yield for those teams to afford things like boot camps before events.

ALGS Split 1 Playoffs schedule

The Split 1 Playoffs start at 1700 GMT on Thursday, February 2, with a 40-team group stage spread across the first two days of competition. In the group stage, teams will be split into four groups of ten, and each group will play a single six-match series against every other group.

Following the group stage, every team will be assigned a starting position in the double-elimination bracket stage based on their group stage performance. The bracket stage kicks off at 1000 GMT on Saturday, February 4.

Finally, after playing through the double-elimination bracket on Saturday, the top 20 teams will advance to the Match Point finals, while the rest of the field is eliminated.

The Finals are set to take place on Sunday, February 5 at 1200 GMT and will consist of a single Match Point format series to determine your ALGS Year 3 Split 1 Playoffs Champion.
