The golden times of Astralis are behind, and the new players are still struggling to reach the top. However, either Vitality or Astralis could win the Group B grand final of the CS2 BLAST Premier Fall Groups 2024 event.

Team Vitality 2:1 Astralis — Team Vitality won the series

This was a very close battle, super exciting to watch. Both teams had their great moments, like tricky rotations for Astralis on the T side, that helped them recover from economic struggles and finish the first half with a small advantage. And the offensive play of Vitality on their T side was just remarkable — they were willing to trade, and they mainly won those situations.

An even game continued till the very end. Suddenly, it was the turn of Vitality to have economic troubles. When they recovered from that, Astralis needed one round only. They got it and won their map pick.

This game was as even as the previous one — but in a so different way.

Astralis had an amazing start on their CT. For seven rounds in a row, Vitality could do nothing about that.

Then, the opponents recovered, and got themselves nine rounds in a row. Vitality won five on the T side and then four as CTs. Some good rounds closer to the end did not save Astralis. With a very close score, they got a disastrous finishing half on Mirage.

Astralis started nicely on Nuke, but then Vitality demonstrated their comeback skills again.

Sure, the game here was amazing! There were some 1v3 and 1v4 clutches and many crazy individual plays. But in the end, Team Vitality simply overclassed their opponents.

The path of Team Vitality at BLAST Premier Fall Groups 2024 is successful, but not necessarily smooth. In the opening match, GamerLegion gave them quite a fight — specifically on the second map, Mirage. Team Vitality lost Game 2 in overtime, but then they got a confident victory on Dust 2.

Astralis also had a good start at the BLAST CS2 tournament. They defeated Team Falcons, which was a great match to watch because of the presence of former Astralis players in the roster of Falcons. This time, Astralis had no problems on both maps.

The problems for Astralis started when they faced Team Vitality in the upper-bracket final. The Danish players had some chances on the second map, Dust 2, but Team Vitality successfully closed that game.

To reach the grand final in their group, Astralis had to defeat Team Falcons again. It wasn’t as easy as the first time. Falcons won the opening map. However, Astralis had one of the best games in the entire BLAST Premier Fall Groups 2024 — they won on Ancient with a 13-1. In the decisive game, Astralis developed an early advantage and impressive efforts on the CT side from Falcons did not change that.
