Group stage

This stage is pretty forgiving, as three out of four teams can advance to the Playoffs.

  • Group A: It’s a death group for Passion UA. Seeing these underdogs winning over the CS2 esports monsters would be really surprising.
  • Group B: TYLOO are in danger here. paiN Gaming could be the only hope for the Chinese team to grab one win, but it would still be about a stroke of luck for TYLOO.

  • The miracle did happen during the Group Stage at BLAST Rivals 2025 Hong Kong! Passion UA defeated The MongolZ in the opening match, so these underdogs made it the Playoffs. The MongolZ lost to Spirit and were eliminated.

  • TYLOO surprised twice during the group matches. They were the reason for one of the worst maps for Vitality: a 4:13 on Nuke. It looked like Vitality could do nothing beyond a few starting rounds. Then, TYLOO recovered from a big score disadvantage on Overpass against paiN. They still lost both matches and couldn't make it to the final brackets.

Quarterfinals

  • Passion UA ended their run in the quarterfinals. paiN Gaming won this match to face FURIA in the semi. PUA made a good impact, though. It's interesting to follow this team in the future CS2 esports event.

  • Despite a really close battle, Spirit could not defeat Vitality. They had a 5:0 lead on Nuke after winning Dust II, and Vitality still recovered from that. The decisive map was Mirage, and again, Vitality won only in overtime. Being a Team Vitality fan is a rollercoaster of emotions right now. Team Spirit left BLAST Rivals Fall 2025.

Revenge and the test of power

With the current esports schedule, the top CS2 teams jump between tournaments with only a two-day break. This creates extra intensity and applies an interesting competitive layer.

Revenge opportunities

FURIA defeated Vitality in the grand final of IEM Chengdu 2025 — on Nov. 9. These teams start BLAST Rivals Fall 2025 in the same group, and Vitality players sure want revenge for that 0:3 loss.

  • Spirit have a lot to say to The MongolZ, who did not let them enter the Playoffs in Chengdu. Being in one group is pretty convenient for this revenge.

Proving the power

  • Falcons still need to prove they are capable of winning big tournaments. With roster changes, this team has yet to achieve a grand final victory. At IEM Chengdu 2025, Falcons defeated MOUZ, alright — but that was a third-place match.

  • The MongolZ certainly want to prove their true power. Their results dropped substantially, starting from ESL Pro League Season 22. The CS2 Esports World Cup 2025 victory was the peak for The MongolZ, and they certainly want to climb even higher.

  • FURIA are on the rise, and it feels like they would like to prove that their win at IEM Chengdu 2025 is not a random spike in the tournament performance.

  • As for proving the power, paiN Gaming definitely need to do this. They had really good results, like the top 4 at the Austin Major, but the organization decided to skip a few tournaments — something related to keeping CS2 VRS points to qualify for the next Major. This strategy shouldn’t cost the tournament form, though.
