After advancing through their quarterfinal matches, we have MOUZ vs G2 esports in the semifinals. The teams will battle it out in this elimination match that sends one team through to the Grand Finals. The other team will have to contend with a top-four placement. MOUZ has had a great run through IEM Chengdu so far. The team won its matches against TYLOO, FURIA esports, and Team Liquid in the group stage. While FURIA took them to three maps, Liquid bowed out with a 0-2 loss against MOUZ Esports.

As a result of their impressive group stage performance, MOUZ qualified directly through to the semifinals. This is their first match in the playoffs - and it is against G2 Esports, a team that is on the up and up.

G2 esports was in the same group as MOUZ, however, they lost against Team Liquid in the Upper Bracket semifinals. The team managed a lower bracket run through the group stage with victories over teams such as Lynn Vision as well as HEROIC.

In the Playoffs, G2 esports 2-0ed Virtus.pro. The team has moved from strength to strength after their initial hiccup against Team Liquid. The one thing that G2 esports has going for itself is momentum - the team has been impressive lately and can put up a stellar fight against MOUZ.
