Bethesda showed its love to the modding community by sending a special gift to the creators of Skyblivion.
The team behind Skyblivion, an upcoming fan-made remake of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, shares a wholesome moment as they receive free keys for Bethesda’s latest game, Oblivion Remastered.
On an April 23 X post, Skyblivion expressed their heartfelt gratitude to Bethesda Game Studios, one of the developers behind the critically acclaimed Elder Scrolls franchise:
“As massive fans, we're beyond grateful for the generous gift of Oblivion Remastered game keys for our entire modding team! This means so much to us.”
Bethesda is known for being a staunch supporter of the modding community, and they even publicly shared special tools to widen the options for modding their games, such as the Skyrim Special Edition: Creation Kit.
According to Skyblivion's Discord server, they are constantly in contact with Bethesda, and the company is always supportive of their work, which is even more evident after the entire Skyblivion team receives free game keys that will allow them to get more fresh ideas from the official game.
The team also mentioned that Bethesda never had any intentions of shutting down Skyblivion, since there is always room for an official remaster and a fan-led remake, and what’s important is that the fans are the true winners in such a situation.
Despite the ongoing hype around Oblivion Remastered, the Skyblivion modding group reassured the community that they’re still actively developing their game that uses Skyrim Special Edition’s engine.
